THE BEAUTY OF CHELTENHAM ON FOOT
Cheltenham is best discovered on foot. The town centre is compact and the arcitecture is a delight for the eyes. The website alltrails.com has a 4.5km walk called “Old Courthouse and Regency Cheltenham”. For those who wants to stretch the legs further and have greater views, search “Seven Springs & Lechampton Hill Walk”, 8.5km again with alltrails.com.
Cheltenham has lots to offer the shoppping enthusiast. Start with the High Street with the flagship John Lewis store, opened in october 2018, walking on to the beautiful Promenade with higher end stores and where the Christmas Market is situated. Finishing up in Montpellier with its privately owned boutique shops and the Suffolks with a handful of fantastic Sunday Markets throughout the year.
GLOUCESTERSHIRE & WARWICKSHIRE STEAM RAILWAY
The railway now runs all the way from Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway through the beautiful Cotswolds. SANDFORD PARKS LIDO
An olympic size swimming pool and a smaller childrens’ one, both heated. Grade II listed and built in 1935, it sits in 4 acres of landscaped gardens. Open for early morning swims 4 mornings per week and always open til 7.30pm. It is a very special place. Open from Easter til early October. Cheltenham has a wonderful location for days out and walks in the lovely countryside that surrounds us. Best known of all, is The Cotswolds, with its charming villages and landscapes. In other directions lie treats such as the Forest of Dean and The Malverns.
